Sociobible [dot] net

When I use the internet, I visit a lot of different websites, but I actually do not visit one that is reffer to my carreer: the sociology. So, I started browsing for one website that could help me to understand this incomprehensible discipline and so I could get better marks than my classmates. That's how I ended up in SOCIOSITE, a website that is specially focused on provide sociology's information. This site is pretty good because it gives many tools to the users that want to know more about sociology around the world. Besides, you can find information about the most important sociologists of the history and also some links where you can browse for more information about them. 'Sociosite' also has a directory with many places and websites where you can find information about an special topic, any topic that you want to study about! It's wonderful!

In conclusion, 'sociosite' is a very useful site for potential sociologists that want to understand the sociology and to learn more about the studies that have been maked under this social science.

  1. Paula,
Good post , but I’m sure you can do better than this if you concentrate more and apply yourself to your studies. Please have a look at the corrections and notes.

When I use the internet, I visit a lot of different websites, but I actually do not visit one that is (reffer: TENSE. DO YOU MEAN ‘RELATED’?) to my carreer: (the: UNNECESSARY) sociology. So, I started browsing for A website that could help me to understand this incomprehensible discipline so THAT I could get better marks than my classmates. That's how I ended up in SOCIOSITE, a website that is specially focused (on provide: SEE LETTER (c) BELOW) (sociology's information: WHAT ABOUT: sociological information OR information on sociology). This site is pretty good because it gives many tools to the users that want to know more about sociology around the world. Besides, you can find information about the most important sociologists (of the: SEE (d) BELOW) history and also some links where you can browse for more information about them. 'Sociosite' also has a directory with many places and websites where you can find information about anY special topic, any topic that you want to study about! It’s wonderful!

In conclusion, 'sociosite' is a very useful site for potential sociologists that want to understand (the) sociology and to learn more about the studies that have been (maked: SPELLING) under this social science.
    a) Don’t use ‘the’ to talk about something in general. Compare:
    • I like dogs ( all dogs, no dog in particular) / What’s wrong with the dogs? They are barking too much. (some dogs in particular, some specific dogs)
    • They study psychology / They´re studying the psychology of poverty
    b) Compare: ... and so I could get better marks (It sounds as if you actually got better marks)/ ... so that I could get better marks (It sounds as if you had the intention of getting better marks)
    c) After prepositions you have to add …….ing to the verbs :
a machine for cutting grass / He left without saying a word / I’m thinking of going…, I like to do a lot of things besides studyING / etc.
    Visit: http://www.englisch-hilfen.de/en/grammar/gerund_prepositions_verbs.htm
    d) We say: the best student in school, the oldest ... in town, the most modern ... in the world, etc.
